Coinbase will halt trading in 10 perpetual futures (crypto derivatives with no expiry) markets around 21:00 on Aug. 26, covering Memecoin, The Sandbox, Moonbirds, Blur, Katana, SPX6900, ZORA, Axie Infinity, Gensyn and LayerZero contracts. Any positions left open when trading is suspended will be automatically settled, with the final settlement price based on the average index price during the 60 minutes before the halt. Coinbase also said the funding rate (periodic payment between long and short traders) for the last funding interval will be set at zero.
