TrendForce estimated LPDDR5X mobile memory contract prices surged 78% to 83% quarter-on-quarter in Q2 2026, after earlier data showed the cost of an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration had already climbed close to 200% year-on-year. Alphabet shares initially rose about 0.6% at Wednesday's market open and briefly neared a 1% gain before turning lower by about 0.2%, even as the Nasdaq stayed higher. There is no evidence the move was caused by Pixel 11 reviews, but the reversal came as Google sought higher prices for phones whose biggest advances appear to be in software and AI rather than hardware.
