ClaimsFiler said investors in Futu Holdings Limited have until Aug. 25, 2026 to seek lead plaintiff status in a securities class action lawsuit pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The case covers investors who bought or otherwise acquired Futu securities between May 24, 2023 and May 27, 2026. The complaint alleges Futu and certain executives failed to disclose that the company was not complying with China Securities Regulatory Commission (China's securities regulator) requirements because it continued securities business, public fund sales business and futures business in mainland China without the required licenses or approval. It says that exposure left the company reasonably likely to face regulatory penalties, including disgorgement (repayment of improper gains), contributed to overstated financial results and made positive statements about its business, operations and prospects materially misleading or without a reasonable basis.
