Solana continued block production and transaction processing despite an outage at an infrastructure provider used by some validators (network nodes that confirm transactions), according to Solana Foundation CTO Jacob Creech. He said 597 of 699 staking validators (operators securing the network with locked tokens) kept voting normally, or about 85% of the total, and the affected validators were restored in about 40 minutes. No impact was identified for validators participating in the Solana Foundation Delegation Program.
