Lithuania's current account surplus widened sharply to EUR 437.5 million in June 2026 from EUR 191.5 million in the same month a year earlier, as stronger services and secondary income balances more than offset deterioration in trade and primary income. The services account surplus rose to EUR 985.4 million from EUR 791.9 million, while the secondary income account moved to a EUR 346.5 million surplus from a EUR 17.9 million deficit. The goods account deficit widened to EUR 695.1 million from EUR 408.5 million because imports increased faster than exports, with imports rising by EUR 824.7 million to EUR 4,175.1 million and exports increasing by EUR 538.1 million to EUR 3,480 million. The primary income deficit also widened to EUR 199.4 million from EUR 174 million a year earlier.
