The Deepwater Asset Management managing partner said Grok 4.6 rose from eighth to fourth place and scored 61 on the group’s Intelligence Index, matching OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Sol Max while still trailing Anthropic’s top models. Munster said planned Grok 4.7 and 5.0 releases could drive further gains, with Grok 4.7 expected to incorporate Cursor data for the first time, potentially improving coding and agentic capabilities. He also pointed to pricing as a competitive factor, with Grok’s API listed at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, versus $5 and $30 for GPT-5.6 Sol Max. Separately, SpaceX reported second-quarter revenue of $7.81 billion, up 92% from a year earlier, ahead of the $6.93 billion Street estimate, with $100 billion in cash and cash equivalents and a $47.5 billion backlog.
