Kyrgyzstan's economy grew 11.1% year on year in January-July 2026, slowing from 11.9% in January-June and marking the weakest pace since March. The moderation was driven mainly by the services sector, which expanded 6.1% after a 9.8% increase in the earlier period and made up 49.8% of gross domestic product (GDP, the total value of goods and services produced). Softer gains in wholesale and retail trade; car and motorcycle repair, transport and storage, and hotel and restaurant activities weighed on services. Other parts of the economy remained supportive. Goods-producing industries rose 3.3% and accounted for 34.2% of GDP, helped by faster growth in agriculture, forestry and fishing, mining, and water supply, waste treatment and recycling of raw materials.
