Spot exchange-traded funds tied to Bitcoin returned to net weekly outflows in the second full week of August, reversing optimism sparked by their strongest inflow week since April. The products lost almost $390 million over five trading days, with only Tuesday posting a positive reading at $4.89 million. Ethereum funds also slipped back into the red, ending a five-week streak of net inflows, but their weekly net withdrawals were limited to $2.26 million, leaving them ahead of their Bitcoin counterparts on relative performance. BlackRock’s IBIT remained the largest spot Bitcoin ETF by net assets at nearly $47 billion, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $10.70 billion and Grayscale’s GBTC at $8.26 billion.
