Bank of Jiangsu reported first-half 2026 operating revenue of 48.952 billion yuan ($7.3 billion), up 9.11% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of 21.876 billion yuan ($3.3 billion), up 8.09%. The profit scale kept it among the leading Chinese city commercial banks. Revenue growth accelerated from the first quarter, while profit growth moderated slightly; second-quarter revenue and profit both increased from the previous quarter. Annualized return on total assets fell to 0.87%, while annualized weighted average return on equity rose to 15.72%. The cost-to-income ratio dropped to 20.43% from 26.67% at end-2025. Net interest income grew 12% to 36.892 billion yuan and accounted for 75.36% of revenue, although net interest margin (the spread between asset yields and funding costs) narrowed 14 basis points to 1.64%. Corporate loans rose 16.72% from end-2025, while personal loans fell 1.65%. Total assets reached 5.61 trillion yuan and deposits grew 17.39% to 2.98 trillion yuan. Asset quality improved, with the non-performing loan ratio declining to 0.81%, but all three capital adequacy ratios fell as the bank expanded. The bank also used the Su Super League football-event brand to develop retail finance and cultural-tourism services. Its 2025 annual shareholders' meeting authorized the board to determine the 2026 interim dividend plan, which will be announced separately.
