Four of five candidates supported by advertising funded by Fairshake-affiliated PACs advanced in Tuesday’s primaries or elections, offering a possible early measure of the crypto industry’s political influence ahead of the 2026 midterms. Protect Progress and Defend American Jobs spent about $3.6 million on House and Senate races in Alaska, Florida and Wyoming. The Fairshake PAC, which reported a $193 million war chest in January, spent more than $130 million supporting pro-crypto candidates or opposing industry critics during the 2024 election cycle and more than $82 million on 2026 races as of June. Its efforts could affect the makeup of Congress and the prospects for the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act, which passed the House 294-134 in July and is expected to establish comprehensive digital-asset rules.
