Four of five candidates backed by ads funded by Fairshake-affiliated political action committees (PACs) won their primaries or otherwise advanced Tuesday across Alaska, Florida and Wyoming, after the groups spent about $3.6 million on House and Senate races. Democrat Lois Frankel won reelection in Florida’s 23rd Congressional District following more than $150,000 in supportive advertising from Protect Progress. Defend American Jobs spent a combined $1.5 million supporting Republican Nick Begich in Alaska’s at-large congressional district, Republican Sydney Gruters in Florida’s 16th Congressional District and Representative Harriet Hageman in Wyoming’s US Senate primary; Gruters and Hageman won, while Begich is expected to advance. In Florida’s 24th Congressional District, Democrat Oliver Gilbert defeated Shevrin Jones and Kendrick Meek with 34.4% of the vote despite being targeted by more than $2 million in negative Protect Progress advertising. Fairshake reported a $193 million war chest in January and had spent more than $82 million on races ahead of the 2026 midterms, after funding over $130 million in pro-crypto and anti-crypto advertising during the 2024 election cycle. The makeup of the next Congress could determine whether lawmakers advance or block digital-asset legislation, including the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act, if the current session does not resolve it before 2027.
