Robinhood Markets shares jumped 13.28% to $107.73 on Friday, after trading between $98.77 and $109.71, as Bitcoin’s rebound and renewed support from President Donald Trump for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act lifted crypto-linked equities. Bitcoin rose more than 6% to briefly reach $79,455, its highest level since May, and gained more than 20% during the week after trading near $64,000 earlier in the period. Coinbase rose around 10% and Strategy gained about 8%, while Robinhood ranked among the strongest S&P 500 performers. The company remains exposed to crypto trading activity, but its $100 million in Q2 crypto transaction revenue fell 38% year over year even as total revenue rose 32% to a record $1.31 billion. Prediction-market revenue reached $156 million, more than ten times the year-earlier level, and event-contract trading reached a record 13.6 billion contracts. Robinhood has also expanded into tokenized equities through Robinhood Chain and Stock Tokens, with tokenized real-world assets on Robinhood Chain rising nearly fivefold to about $73 million in July. Trump’s call for Congress to approve a fair version of the CLARITY Act, which would clarify oversight boundaries between the Securities and Exchange Commission and CFTC (U.S. derivatives regulator), added regulatory optimism, although the bill has not passed the Senate and disagreements over ethics provisions and other sections remain unresolved. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev attended the White House meeting where Trump made the appeal. Analysts remain bullish, with Bernstein maintaining an Outperform rating and a $160 price target, Goldman Sachs raising its target to $137 from $121 while maintaining a Buy rating, and TipRanks showing an average Wall Street target of about $123.58. The Friday move was driven primarily by the crypto market, while Robinhood’s broader trading and financial infrastructure businesses helped explain its outperformance of Bitcoin itself.
