Cami Clark, wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, has no official title, salary, or equity in the company but has acted as an informal strategic adviser during key early decisions and relationship-building efforts. She helped facilitate a connection with Eric Schmidt, the former Google CEO, whose participation contributed to Anthropic’s $124 million Series A, which closed in May 2021. Clark and Amodei met in 2014 and married in Italy in 2022. Her entrepreneurial background includes serving as head of revenue at Leap Motion from 2016 to 2017, as well as later ventures in women-focused adult films and women’s health clinics that did not reach significant scale. In 2021, she proposed an AI investment vehicle within Anthropic, but the plan faced resistance from other founders and did not proceed. Anthropic, founded that year by Amodei, his sister Daniela, and former OpenAI researchers, has since attracted billions of dollars from investors including Google and Amazon. Its Claude models compete with OpenAI’s GPT series and Google’s Gemini. The company is reportedly considering an IPO (initial public offering), potentially as soon as fall 2026, with ambitions for a valuation in the trillions of dollars.
