Strategy, the world’s largest public company holding Bitcoin, raised about $2 billion through its at-the-market (ATM) common-stock offering between Aug. 17 and Aug. 23, according to a Monday filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the US securities regulator. The company made no Bitcoin purchases or sales, leaving its holdings at 840,447 BTC acquired for $63.36 billion, or an average of $75,385 per Bitcoin. Strategy repurchased about 1.43 million STRC preferred shares for $136.4 million, added $300 million to its US dollar reserve and placed the remaining proceeds in a new US dollar cash account. As of Sunday, the two pools held $5.1 billion and $1.59 billion, respectively. Strategy said the new account can support Bitcoin purchases, preferred-stock dividends, debt payments and securities repurchases, while providing greater flexibility in changing market conditions. The company first established its US dollar reserve in December 2025 with $1.44 billion and increased it from $900 million at the end of May to $5.1 billion as dividend and interest obligations grew.
