25% buyback plan may redirect shares to employees instead of reducing supply

A major crypto asset manager’s 25% buyback plan may not necessarily shrink the supply of outstanding shares. Instead, shares repurchased under the plan could be recycled to employees, while treasury stock helps fund a reserve that can grow through 2029. The Sept. 15 authority is optional.
