United Airlines (UAL) rose 1.95% as it prepared its biggest-ever international expansion, adding nonstop connections to destinations including Ljubljana, Slovenia; Marseille, France; and Ibiza, Spain. Chief executive Scott Kirby said at an event in Newark, N.J., that people’s desire to see and explore the world is bigger and brighter than ever.
