U.S. stocks finish higher as Nasdaq gains 0.66% and AMD nears 5%

U.S. stocks ended Tuesday higher on a preliminary basis, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.3%, the S&P 500 rising 0.32% and the Nasdaq Composite gaining 0.66%, according to Gate market data cited by ChainCatcher. SK Hynix and Micron Technology each rose more than 2%, Nvidia climbed 2.1% and AMD gained nearly 5%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index, which tracks major U.S.-listed Chinese companies, added 1.1%, while Alibaba rose 0.8%.
