U.S. stock futures were mixed Friday after Thursday’s gains, with the Dow Jones up 0.18% while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 fell 0.06% and 0.37%, respectively. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent intensified his "economic D-Day" pressure campaign against Iran, accusing the country’s "corrupt regime" of funding overseas terror as domestic conditions deteriorate. The Iranian rial fell to a record low of about 1.37 million per dollar, while August oil loadings dropped to 248,000 barrels a day. Investors are focused on Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s address at Jackson Hole, including his views on the economy, bond-market volatility and risks to the U.S. and global outlook. Treasury yields stood at 4.67% for the 10-year note and 4.23% for the two-year note, while CME Group’s FedWatch tool showed a 33.7% probability of a September rate increase. Marvell Technology, PayPal, Ulta Beauty and IREN fell sharply in premarket or recent trading, while Gap rose after earnings and guidance. Bitcoin was up 0.10% at $79,769.58, oil declined 0.60% to about $83.03 a barrel and gold rose 0.22% to approximately $4,611.84 an ounce.
