ChangXin Memory Technologies filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Defense in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Aug. 28, U.S. Eastern time. The company alleges the department wrongly placed it on the Chinese military companies list, where it was first included in January 2025. ChangXin Memory Technologies says it is not a military enterprise and only develops and manufactures DRAM (dynamic random-access memory) products for commercial and civilian use, with no military applications.
