Trump Coins has denied authorizing, issuing or promoting any digital token, saying claims to the contrary were the result of malicious third-party activity. In a statement on X reported by PANews on Aug. 30, realtrumpcoins said Trump Coins had never authorized a digital token and would not issue, promote or authorize one in the future. The account said it was working with relevant law-enforcement agencies and seeking accountability for those involved. Earlier, the realtrumpcoins account, which had drawn Trump's attention, launched the $GOLD token; its team held 82.45% of the token's supply.
