Nvidia and MediaTek announced a partnership on June 1, 2026, spanning AI-powered laptops, automotive cockpits and data-center infrastructure. Their most visible product so far is NVIDIA RTX Spark, a platform for Windows 11 AI PCs that combines Nvidia graphics processing with MediaTek system-on-chip expertise; the first laptops are expected in Fall 2026. The collaboration also brings MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity AX C-X1 platform to AI-enabled vehicle cockpits. MediaTek co-designed the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip used in Project DIGITS, Nvidia’s personal AI supercomputer, and operates an on-premises AI factory on Nvidia DGX SuperPOD systems that processes roughly 60 billion inference tokens each month. Reports have estimated Nvidia’s investment in MediaTek convertible bonds at $3.5 billion to $4 billion, although neither company has confirmed those figures. MediaTek’s board approved $5 billion in discretionary financing as of July 31, 2026, to support its data-center AI-chip expansion. Its AI-chip business is projected to generate more than $2 billion in 2026 revenue, with a first custom ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) due in Q4 2026 and a second planned for 2028. With the custom AI-chip market projected at around $80 billion by 2027, MediaTek is positioning itself as a provider of custom AI silicon, supported by Nvidia’s CUDA libraries and NeMo platform for large-language-model development.
