Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said he held a detailed and constructive call with U.S. President Donald Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The sides are working to finalize dates for the envoys' visit to Ukraine, which is intended to advance peace efforts. Zelenskiy said he briefed them on battlefield conditions, including what he described as sparse Russian gains achieved at the cost of huge losses, as well as strikes. He said September could bring many changes and that Ukraine and its partners must do everything possible to protect people.
