Real wages in the Czech Republic rose 4.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, marking the tenth consecutive period of growth but slowing from 6.4% in the previous quarter and missing the 5% market forecast. Nominal wages, measured before inflation adjustment, increased 6.4% to an average CZK 51,966 a month. Administrative and support services recorded the strongest increase at 16.6%, followed by public administration and defence with compulsory social security at 9.0%, and arts, entertainment and recreation at 8.7%. Growth was weakest in other service activities at 0.2% and mining and quarrying at 2.2%. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, wages rose 1.6%. The first-half average wage reached CZK 50,650, up 6.2% from a year earlier.
