Solana’s tokenized-stock market has reached an all-time high in on-chain supply, while roughly $60 million of tokenized equities has been deposited into lending protocols. NVDAx, which tracks Nvidia, and SPYx, which tracks the S&P 500, lead holder distribution. Issued primarily through Backed Finance as SPL tokens, the assets are designed to be backed 1:1 by underlying shares or equivalent collateral held with regulated custodians. Their use is expanding beyond trading and holding as users post them as collateral to borrow stablecoins such as USDC. Earlier figures showed weekly collateral rising above $51.9 million and then $53 million, while late-August data put Solana’s tokenized-stock DeFi deposits at about $75.4 million, or more than 64% of the global total. Kamino Finance and Jupiter Lend accounted for most deposits. The trend reflects Solana’s combination of low fees, high throughput, decentralized exchanges and lending infrastructure, although participants remain exposed to issuer, oracle, smart-contract, liquidation and market risks. The sustainability of growth will depend on infrastructure reliability, eligibility and disclosure standards, liquidity, and effective risk management.
