South Korea’s KOSPI index broke above 6,900 points and gained 3.34% in early trading, according to Gate data cited by Odaily Planet Daily. Samsung Electronics rose 4.5% and SK Hynix climbed 5.4%. Japan’s Nikkei 225 opened 643.21 points higher on Sept. 7, a Monday, gaining 0.99% to reach 65,664.15 points.
