LX Pantos completed a cross-border defense logistics project transporting air-to-air missiles (AAMs), guided weapons launched from aircraft against airborne targets, from France to South Korea. The shipment was arranged for Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) in support of the Korean Marine Corps’ Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program, led by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). The missiles, supplied by European defense technology company M, flew from Châteauroux Airport to Incheon International Airport on a charter flight operated by LX Pantos before being delivered by road to a Korean Marine Corps unit in Pohang. For security and protection, the company used a dedicated charter aircraft carrying the missiles as its sole cargo. The shipment was classified as Class 1 explosives, Division 1.2, Compatibility Group E, and underwent the highest level of security inspection. LX Pantos secured overflight permits from 14 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia and coordinated the multimodal operation through its global network, including European subsidiaries. The company said its defense logistics business has expanded since it received an excellent security assessment from South Korea’s Defense Counterintelligence Command in 2024. It also achieved Assessment Level 3 (AL3), the highest level under the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX), demonstrating its ability to meet stringent international information-security requirements. LX Pantos said the project demonstrated its expertise in safety, security and logistics and that it would continue supporting global defense-sector customers while strengthening its role in the defense logistics market. Founded in 1977 and headquartered in South Korea, LX Pantos provides maritime, air, rail and contract logistics through a network spanning more than 40 countries.
