AI chip startup Celero Communications has raised $275 million in a funding round that values the company at more than $3 billion. Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners and CapitalG, Alphabet's venture capital arm, jointly led the round. Founded in 2024, Celero develops coherent digital signal processors (DSPs), specialized chips that improve high-speed fiber-optic data transmission for AI systems. The technology is designed to connect data centers and server racks within individual data centers, supporting the construction of larger AI chip clusters. Gavin Baker, Atreides' managing partner and chief investment officer, will join Celero's board, according to Bloomberg as cited by PANews.
