Pump.fun’s mobile app processed more Solana-native token volume than Robinhood Chain token volume on Sept. 8, the first such reversal since Sept. 1. The change followed weeks in which Robinhood Chain’s memecoin activity frequently exceeded Solana-native trading on Pump.fun after the chain launched on July 1, 2026. Robinhood Chain initially focused on tokenized equities, but launchpads such as Pons quickly made memecoin speculation its main attraction. Pump.fun added Robinhood Chain token trading around July 8, using SOL-denominated routing and zero fees on the Solana side. Robinhood Chain’s activity peaked on Aug. 31, when Pons generated $4.89 million in daily fees, surpassing Pump.fun’s own fees. Solana’s broader trading market also accelerated, with single-day on-chain trading records exceeding $1 billion in September 2026. Pump.fun’s daily trading volume rose from about $250,000 at launch to peaks above $50 million.
