U.S. stocks opened lower while AI-related shares mostly advanced.

U.S. stocks opened lower, with the Dow down 0.52%, the S&P 500 down 0.3% and the Nasdaq down 0.44%. The VIX, a market volatility gauge, rose 2.86%. AI-related shares mostly advanced, led by Meta’s 4.68% gain, followed by IBM at 1.82%, SAP at 1.54%, and Dell and Intuitive Surgical at 1.5% each.
