ChangXin Memory recorded an 82% earnings-before-interest-and-tax margin in the second quarter of 2026, surpassing SK hynix at 76% and Samsung Electronics’ semiconductor business at 70% to rank as the most profitable storage-chip maker globally for the period. Its revenue grew about tenfold from a year earlier, the fastest increase among ChangXin Memory, Samsung, SK hynix, Micron, Kioxia and SanDisk. Analysts linked the margin expansion to shifting supply and demand in memory chips: Samsung, SK hynix and Micron directed more resources toward high-bandwidth memory for AI servers, tightening ordinary DRAM supply and driving DDR5 prices sharply higher.
