Arm Holdings shares fell 9.21% to $240.40 on Monday as semiconductor and high-valuation technology stocks sold off. The Nasdaq declined 0.61%, the S&P 500 fell 0.29% and the technology sector dropped 1.4%. The move followed growing debate over whether safety concerns could slow advanced AI development, infrastructure investment and corporate capital spending. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei described China as the "toughest dilemma" in efforts to establish a global "speed limit" on AI development, while OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk supported broader coordination on frontier AI safety, according to the report. Arm’s exposure to data-center and AI computing demand makes the investment debate important for its growth outlook. The stock traded below its 20-day and 50-day simple moving averages, but remained above its 200-day average; its MACD (trend-momentum indicator) was above its signal line with a positive histogram. Arm trades at about 270 times earnings and has a Buy consensus rating with an average price forecast of $319. Analyst price targets ranged from $212 to $320 after recent revisions. The shares are also held by several exchange-traded funds, including the First Trust International Equity Opportunities ETF, VanEck Fabless Semiconductor ETF and Renaissance IPO ETF.
