Charles Schwab is expanding its advisor technology offering through a partnership between Schwab Advisor Services and Anthropic, bringing Claude for Financial Advisors to more than 16,000 independent registered investment advisors using Schwab’s custody and business services. The platform supports meeting preparation, portfolio explanations, financial planning updates, account analysis and draft client follow-ups. It connects with customer relationship management, custody, portfolio reporting, financial planning, estate planning and meeting systems, allowing advisors to access information across existing applications. Schwab said the integration can improve productivity and reduce routine workloads while preserving firms’ existing technology infrastructure. The service also includes administrative audit logs for firms to review and leaves advisors in control of the final information sent to clients. Schwab shares slipped 0.25% to $106.99 on Monday as the company announced the expansion of its advisor technology strategy.
