SueWallSt has notified investors in Cogent Communications Holdings, Inc. that a securities class action covers purchases made from February 29, 2024, through May 1, 2026. The complaint alleges Cogent failed to adequately disclose challenges converting the acquired former Sprint wireline network into an optical wavelength platform, including provisioning cycles of roughly 90 days and sometimes 120 days or more. It alleges that as much as 90% of the wavelength backlog was lost, while Cogent targeted a $500 million wavelength revenue run rate by May 2028. CCOI shares allegedly fell more than 80%, or about $69 per share, from above $86 in November 2024 to below $17 after May 1, 2026. The complaint also alleges misleading statements about wavelength demand, backlog quality, provisioning challenges and dividend sustainability, with a 98% dividend cut disclosed alongside corrective information and a sharp stock decline. The case was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and motions for lead plaintiff are due by September 21, 2026. SueWallSt is powered by Levi & Korsinsky LLP, which says it has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for shareholders and has ranked among the ISS Securities Class Action Services Top 50 securities litigation firms for seven consecutive years.
