CookieYes has published a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects its consent-management platform with AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Customers can use conversational prompts to check banner status, review scan results and make supported, approved updates without switching tools or navigating the dashboard. The server provides 10 tools, including seven read-only tools; the three tools that trigger scans or change banner settings display the proposed action and require approval. Developers can retrieve installation code and check whether banners are active, while marketing teams and agencies can review scan results and banner status across websites. Users can also scan sites or adjust consent-center colors, layouts, positions and styles. Authentication uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, and the account owner must authorize MCP access. Connected assistants have limited access to banner configurations and scan metadata and cannot retrieve personal data, consent records, cookie values, login credentials, billing data or account-owner information. Owners can disable MCP access completely or disconnect individual AI clients through the CookieYes dashboard or the relevant client settings. The server is included with every CookieYes plan, including the free plan.
