Crypto markets recorded $99.0495 million in liquidations over the past 12 hours, according to CoinGlass data cited by Odaily Planet Daily. Short-position liquidations totaled $66.9933 million, more than double the $32.0562 million liquidated from long positions. ZEC recorded the largest token-specific liquidation amount at $23.2602 million, followed by ETH at about $14.4046 million and BTC at about $13.3940 million. Liquidation occurs when leveraged positions are forcibly closed after traders can no longer meet margin requirements.
