Kite is partnering with USDC issuer Circle to develop an AI agent payment infrastructure based on Arc, Circle’s layer-1 blockchain. The system is designed to let AI agents discover services, negotiate prices, execute transactions, deliver and verify services, and pay in USDC. Kite will oversee service contracts and delivery, while Arc will handle USDC payments and settlement. The process will use the Kite Seller Console and Kite Agent Passport: sellers can set prices, delivery deadlines and verification conditions, while buyers can authorize payments within preset spending limits. Funds held in escrow, a temporary payment arrangement, are released after service delivery is confirmed. BlockBeats reported the development on September 18.
