U.S. stocks extend gains as Nasdaq rises 2.01%, chip shares jump

U.S. stocks extended gains across the Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite.
Nasdaq Composite gained 2.01%, while ARM advanced 15.91%.
MSX.COM data showed gains for seven listed semiconductor and technology companies.

U.S. stocks extended their gains, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.61%, the S&P 500 rising 1.36% and the Nasdaq Composite advancing 2.01%, according to MSX.COM data cited by Odaily. Technology and semiconductor shares also climbed: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. rose 1.73%, Broadcom gained 1%, Micron Technology advanced 2.83%, Advanced Micro Devices increased 9.29%, ASML rose 1.37%, Intel jumped 13.26% and ARM surged 15.91%.
