Republican national committees entered September with about $233.3 million in cash, roughly $103 million more than their Democratic counterparts, according to a CNBC analysis of new Federal Election Commission (U.S. campaign finance regulator) filings. President Trump’s flagship Super PAC, MAGA Inc., held another $415.8 million. Two Trump-linked groups, No Going Back PAC and Safety & Affordability PAC, had reserved at least $126 million in advertising. Across the broader campaign landscape, Republicans and their allies had about $888 million in advertising planned through Election Day, compared with roughly $666 million for Democrats. Democrats nevertheless maintained stronger cash positions in some individual battleground campaigns.
