Bitcoin recovered its 50-week moving average as purchases of year-end expiry call options increased for the first time since November 2025, pointing to a more bullish upside bias. Market maker Wintermute said in its weekly market report dated the 21st that markets had moved past two major events: an interest-rate hike at the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve’s monetary-policy body, and a vote on the Clarity bill in the U.S. Senate. As of the morning of the 21st, Bitcoin and Ether had each broken above their range ceilings within several hours, according to the report.
