Hunter Biden welcomed Sen. John Curtis’s proposal for the Senate Judiciary Committee to examine whether presidential family members used political connections for private financial benefit or preferential access. Curtis asked committee leaders to subpoena Hunter Biden and Donald Trump Jr. to address their business dealings, foreign relationships, gifts and other benefits. Hunter Biden said he had already provided more than seven hours of sworn testimony and was willing to testify alongside Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Jared Kushner. He denied foreign business dealings while his father was president and defended the public disclosure of his artwork sales, saying he earned an average of $220,000 a year from painting during that period. The dispute also follows scrutiny of a Bahamas wedding celebration involving Trump Jr. and Russian businessman Umar Kremlev, which Donald Trump said Trump Jr. repaid and described as permitted.
