Nexo survey finds affluent crypto holders average 4.83 on integration index

  • Nexo introduced the Crypto Integration Index for affluent crypto investors.
  • 4.83 out of 10 was the average score among surveyed investors.
  • The survey covered 1,000 respondents across the US, UK and Argentina in February and March 2026.

Nexo, a digital-asset wealth platform operating in more than 190 jurisdictions, surveyed 1,000 affluent investors in the United States, United Kingdom and Argentina. Two-thirds already hold crypto, but their average Crypto Integration Index score was 4.83 out of 10, indicating ownership without deep integration into broader financial planning. The index measures portfolio allocation, holding periods, retirement use, replacement of traditional assets and perceived risk relative to stocks or real estate. Fielded through Attest in February and March 2026, the survey screened for at least $100,000 in liquid assets in the US and UK and $40,000 in Argentina. Nexo found that risk perception explained only 13.6% of differences in scores, while substitution and retirement integration accounted for more than half. The United States recorded the highest average integration at 5.07 despite the lowest ownership rate, 62.3%; the UK had 65% ownership and a 4.75 average score. Among the most integrated investors, security, fees and platform complexity were the leading obstacles. The report says the findings point toward demand for better operational tools, including yield on idle balances, liquidity without forced sales, and retirement and tax-planning integration, while acknowledging the survey's commercial interest, limited sample and untested custody and product structures.
