Bitget said unauthorized transfers from several hot wallets affected approximately $351.6 million on September 24, 2026, while its cold wallets and user assets remained protected. The exchange said its User Protection Fund, holding more than $464 million, could cover the entire loss. Withdrawals were suspended temporarily, but deposits and trading continued. Bitget said it would reopen withdrawals after completing its review, provide hourly updates and publish a report within 24 hours covering the attack’s cause, method and corrective measures. The attack vector had not been disclosed, and the company said it would not speculate before the investigation concluded.
