Japan's Financial Services Agency will hold the first meeting of its AI-era On-Chain Finance Forum on September 30. Relevant ministries and other participants will provide reports and join discussions as the agency begins examining how on-chain finance can be implemented in society. The concept refers to financial transactions built on blockchain technology, offering capabilities such as 24-hour, 365-day operation and programmable controls linked to commercial and logistics flows. AI applications and asset tokenization are also listed among the topics, against a backdrop of advances in AI and blockchain technology.
