Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), one of the leading U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, recorded a net outflow of approximately $125.6 million on Sept. 30, 2026, closely matching roughly $126 million in Bitcoin exposure sold by clients. The move came after FBTC attracted $310.7 million on Sept. 18 and followed more than $746 million in withdrawals across U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on Sept. 15 and 16. Those outflows coincided with Federal Reserve rate decisions and stalled digital-asset legislation. ETF redemptions use a managed creation and redemption process, meaning withdrawals do not automatically force equivalent Bitcoin sales on spot markets. No unusual activity was identified at Fidelity, and similar outflows earlier in 2026 did not disrupt operations. Estimated cumulative September inflows of $2.4 billion to $2.8 billion indicate that longer-term demand held up despite the month’s volatility.
