Gold rose 0.08% to $4,167.68 an ounce, while silver gained 1.52% to $61.03. In foreign exchange, USD/CNH increased 0.14% to 6.71803 and USD/JPY climbed 0.38% to 158.005. European and UK equities declined, while Germany's DAX40 edged higher. WTI crude rose 0.28% to $93.77 a barrel and Brent crude advanced 2.23% to $104.45.
