According to the new report, World is extending World ID through Tinder, Zoom and DocuSign while adding recovery and multi-device features, as questions over biometric data collection and token weakness persist.
World expanded its identity-verification ecosystem with integrations involving Tinder, Zoom and DocuSign, while also updating World ID with recovery and multi-device support. The report says Zoom is using World’s Deep Face authentication to help detect deepfakes during video calls, DocuSign is applying World ID to electronic agreements, and Tinder is rolling out World ID to U.S. users. World states its Orb device creates a unique digital identity from an iris scan without storing or exposing personal data. The article also notes ongoing criticism over large-scale biometric data collection and says World’s token, WLD, fell 10% to about $0.28 even as the partnership announcements were made. Separately, Coinbase announced in March that it would use World’s AgentKit with its x402 micropayments protocol.
