Datachain and Progmat said they have obtained a patent for a stablecoin remittance system connected to Swift (global bank messaging network). According to their official statement, the system uses Swift’s API (application programming interface) framework to enable lower-cost international transfers while operating through existing banking networks. The announcement points to an effort to combine stablecoin-based settlement with traditional financial rails, a structure often aimed at reducing friction in cross-border payments without requiring banks to replace their current infrastructure.
