The South Korean financial group said the tie-up is intended to strengthen blockchain finance competitiveness and support new business development after recent work with the Bank of Korea (South Korea’s central bank) and Circle.
KB Financial Group said it has formed a strategic partnership with Pantera Capital, a crypto-focused investment firm, to broaden its digital asset strategy and improve its competitiveness in blockchain finance. The company also said the agreement is meant to speed up new business development. The announcement follows KB Financial Group’s memorandum of understanding with the Bank of Korea (South Korea’s central bank) on Project Han River and a separate partnership with Circle, indicating a wider push into digital-asset-related financial services.
