The new issuance increases the amount of Tether’s dollar-pegged stablecoin circulating on Tron (blockchain network), one of the main rails used for USDT transfers.
Tether has issued an additional 1 billion USDT on the Tron (blockchain network) blockchain, raising the total USDT supply on Tron to about $89.37 billion. USDT is a stablecoin (crypto token tied to a fiat currency) designed to track the U.S. dollar, and Tron is widely used for stablecoin transfers because of its role as a high-throughput blockchain network. The latest mint expands Tether’s circulating supply on one of its largest issuance networks.
