A U.S. federal judge sentenced former Celsius chief revenue officer Roni Cohen-Pavon to time served and one year of supervised release after his guilty plea in the Celsius fraud and CEL price-manipulation case.
Former Celsius chief revenue officer Roni Cohen-Pavon was sentenced by a U.S. federal judge to time served and one year of supervised release after pleading guilty following his 2023 arrest. He admitted to manipulating the price of Celsius Network’s CEL token and participating in fraud tied to the crypto lending platform. He had previously agreed to forfeit more than $1.07 million linked to criminal proceeds, and the court also imposed a $40,000 fine. Earlier court filings said that any cash or crypto he still held on Celsius and later received through the bankruptcy process could be credited toward the forfeiture judgment.
